Isoetes (Isoetaceae) |
 |
|
Tasmania has
five native species of Isoetes (quill worts). These are all
aquatic or semi-aquatic plants with cylindrical or conical leaves
arranged in grass-like tufts (though the leaves are often much
thicker than those of most grasses). The spores occur in sporangia
in the axils of the leaves. |
