Cheilanthes distans (Adiantaceae)

Cheilanthes distans (bristly cloak fern) is a very rare native fern that is only known in Tasmania from the Douglas Appsley region. It is a low growing plant with many times lobed small leaves. It is unusual in that it is a resurrection plant - the foliage can dry out, then recover entirely within an hour or so after rain. It has smaller leaves than C. austrotenuifolia.
