Grammitis billardieri (Grammitidaceae) |
|
Grammitis
billardieri (finger fern) is a widespread and very common native
species in Tasmania. It usually grows on mossy logs, rocks or tree
trunks (especially that of man fern, Dicksonia antarctica).
It also grows on rocks in the subalpine and alpine zones. It is
similar to G. magellanica,
but lacks the dark midrib and dark spots at the ends of the veins of
that species. |
