Hymenophyllum marginatum (Hymenophyllaceae) |
|
Hymenophyllum marginatum is a common native fern. It is a tiny
plant that grows on rocks, logs and tree trunks in wet forests,
mainly in the south-western third of the island. Like all filmy
ferns, the leaf laminas are only one cell thick. The sporangia are
in a cup at the edge of the leaf. |
