Hymenophyllum rarum (Hymenophyllaceae)

Contrary to its name, Hymenophyllum rarum is a common native fern in wet forests. It grows on the ground and as an epiphyte. Like all filmy ferns, the leaf laminas are only one cell thick. The sporangia are in a cup at the edge of the leaf.
