Isoetes sp. Maxell River (Isoetaceae) |
|
Isoetes
sp. Maxell River is a rare native aquatic plant. It only grows on alkaline
pans along a few rivers in the south-west (e.g. the Maxwell River).
Like other quillwort species, the leaves are cylindrical and in
clumps. The leaves are rigid and the sporangia are covered by a
membranous layer (the velum). |
