Schizaea asperula (Schizaeaceae) |
|
Schizaea
asperula is a rare native fern that grows on sandy soils at low
altitudes in the north and east. It is a small slender plant that
can easily be overlooked. Like the other species of Schizaea,
it has the very distinctive comb-like fertile fronds. The fertile
and sterile fronds are branched many times. |
