Sticherus lobatus (Gleicheniaceae) |
|
Sticherus
lobatus (spreading fan fern) is an uncommon native groundfern that
grows in wet peaty sites under rainforest in the northwest and west. It has the typical
Sticherus foliage, which is repeatedly dichotomously divided
before ending in pinnate laminas, ending elongated pinnules with
superficial sori. The distinctive feature is that the undersides of
the pinnules are hairless. |
