Sticherus urceolatus (Gleicheniaceae) |
|
|
Sticherus
urceolatus is a common native groundfern, especially in the
north-east. It grows along watercourses in and near rainforest. It has the typical
Sticherus foliage, which is repeatedly dichotomously divided
before ending in pinnate laminas, ending elongated pinnules with
superficial sori. The distinctive feature is that the undersides of
the pinnules are hairy and the pinnules arise at an oblique angle to
the midrib. |
