Crocosmia
Xcrocosmiiflora is widespread and very abundant weed in
Tasmania, frequently seen on roadsides, especially in damper areas.
Like most irises it is a tufted plant, with the stems flattened and
the leaves in two rows. The leaves are up to 80cm long and 2cm wide.
The flowers are stalked orange-red, about 3 or 4 cm long and
arranged in a zig-zag fashion along the inflorescence. |
