Sparaxis
bulbifera (harlequin flower) is an occasional garden escaped
weed of roadsides, particularly near in or near urban areas. It has several leaves at the base of the flower
and a few extending up the erect stems. The leaves are up to 30 cm
long, and stems may be as much as 1.75 tall. The flowers are yellow
with a short tube and spreading lobes. The outside of the flower
typically has red stripes. The flowers are in spikes of a few
flowers. |
