Sparaxis (Iridaceae) 4b:415
Sparaxis bulbifera (harlequin flower) is an occasional garden escaped weed of roadsides, particularly near in or near urban areas. It has several leaves at the base of the flower and a few extending up the erect stems. The leaves are up to 30 cm long, and stems may be as much as 1.75 tall. The flowers are yellow with a short tube and spreading lobes. The outside of the flower typically has red stripes. The flowers are in spikes of a few flowers.
