Allium (Alliaceae [formerly part of Liliaceae]) 4b:392
Tasmania has four introduced species of Allium (the onion, leek and garlic genus). These species have bulbs, narrow, flat or cylindrical and hollow leaves, and smell of garlic or onion. The flowers are in umbels on the ends of long, erect stalks. Leucojum aestivum is an occasional weed that is superficially similar to A. triquetrum.

Allium neapolitanum is Naples onion, A. triquetrum is Three cornered garlic, A. ampeloprasum is Great headed garlic.  A. triquetrum is very common as a weed of roadsides etc.
