Distinguishing features:  "Bladderwort" "Fairies aprons". Small insectivorous herb of wet areas (ditches, swamps, bogs etc), which is only likely to be seen when in flower. Purple flowers with broad lower lips (about 6 -8 mm broad) on long slender scapes. Differs from U. lateriflora in having the spur of the cylindrical not conical.
