Distinguishing features: Grows near the coast on sand or peat on top of sand. Glaucous, sinuous wiry stems, usually branched, with leaves reduced to sheathing scales more or less uniformly distributed along the stems. The bracts taper evenly to a point. Similar to Lepyrodia tasmanica, but differs in the bract shape and habitat.
