Less Is More, More Or Less... After 20 years of painting I arrived at minimalism, Why can't I accept it?
Jake Walker, current Artist in Residence at CAM, Hunter Street in the painting studio, will discuss the development of his practice, the influence of architecture and how to muddle through life as an artist, in a world drowning in imagery.
"My work explores possible interactions between ceramic and painting practices. Investigating how materiality speaks to us in a way imagery can't and how, despite knowing full well that simplicity works, we can't help but complicate things in a futile search for originality."
