You are invited to participate in the Launceston heat for the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition.
What is 3MT?
3MT is an annual competition that challenges Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates to effectively explain their research in three minutes in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
It is an excellent opportunity for candidates to develop their academic, presentation and research communication skills.
It can also generate media interest in the research, it’s fun and candidates can win amazing prizes!
When are the other 3MT events?
Hobart heat: 15 August, 2pm-5.30pm, Harvard Room 1, Centenary Building, Sandy Bay Campus
University Semi-Final: 23 August 2019, details TBC
University Final: 3 September 2019, details TBC
Asia-Pacific Final: 4 October 2019
