Summary:Are you living with MS, or do you know someone living with MS? Do you want to know more about MS resources in northern Tasmania?
Our speakers will give short presentations covering the work of the new MS clinic and neurology service at the Launceston General Hospital, programs offered by Multiple Sclerosis Limited and the Understanding Multiple Sclerosis*** MOOC (massive open online course), a free online course that aims to improve understanding and awareness of MS. The presentations will be followed by a Question and Answer session.

Speakers
Dr Lauren Giles
Dr Giles has recently arrived in Launceston and has been involved in establishing the MS clinic at LGH. She trained in neurology at Austin Health in Melbourne and is excited to bring specialist MS care to the Northern Tasmanian community.
Lisa Slade
Lisa worked for Multiple Sclerosis Limited (MS) in Melbourne for six years in roles as an Occupational Therapist and then as an Employment Support Consultant (Occupational Therapist) within the MS Employment Support Service (MS ESS). MS ESS expanded nationally including to Tasmania in July 2018 and as a result Lisa is now part of the team providing this service to support Tasmanians living and working with MS in her role as Employment Support Consultant (Occupational Therapist).
Dr Suzi Claflin
Dr Claflin is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Menzies Institute for Medical Research, University of Tasmania and is the academic lead for the Understanding MS free online course. Dr Claflin is particularly interested in science communication and research translation.
