The School of Creative Arts and Media presents scenes from Cloudstreet, a play adapted by Nick Enright and Justin Monjo from the novel by Tim Winton.
This production is directed by Melanie Beddie and performed by the graduating class of UTAS’s Bachelor of Contemporary Arts.
Cloudstreet follows the intertwined lives of two households, the Pickles and the Lambs, as they find themselves inhabiting a large house that is filled with mystery, magic and the ghosts of the past. They must learn to understand each other and live in harmony, despite their differences in values and attitudes toward life, with one side believing in luck, the other believing in prayer. Cloudstreet explores the idea of what “a home” really is, and if it is a place, or the people you are with.
