Summary:Marine Mammal Symposium
Join the Society for Marine Mammalogy Australia and New Zealand Student Chapter (ANZSCSMM) and IMAS MPred lab for an afternoon discussing the marine mammals of the Southern Ocean.
This symposium will engage researchers from the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD), CSIRO, IMAS UTAS and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG), highlighting local Tasmanian and Sub-Antarctic research. Discussions are intended to focus on marine mammals that visit the Southern Ocean (whales, dolphins, seals) and their prey. However, the event itself is open for people from other fields of study to attend and participate.
Guest speakers include Dr Brian Millar (AAD); Prof Mary-Anne Lea (IMAS); Dr Karen Evans (CSIRO) and Dr David Hocking (TMAG).
