The national movement toward truth-telling and treaty with our First Nations is a tribute to the work of generations who fought for justice and equality in Australia. We continue to tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation for the generations to come. The public debate on a Voice to Parliament and the forthcoming referendum is an opportunity for the next generation to take their place in this ongoing movement for positive change and to bravely reimagine a better Australia.

So what does our future look like after the Voice to Parliament Referendum? How can we best support the creation of a more just Australia for all of us?

Meet the panellists

• Aria Ritz is a young palawa woman who is currently completing her year 12 studies. She is the Community Chair at her school, where she leads various service activities. Aria is a strong activist with a passion for human rights and first nations rights.

• Tyenna Hogan a 21-year-old Palawa and Bundjalung woman from Nipaluna/Hobart, studying a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) and a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Tasmania.

• Duncan Robinson is an Aboriginal man in the last stages of his PhD, which is looking at the experiences of Aboriginal students at the University of Tasmania and how they navigate content that contains their stories, histories, culture and issues. He teaches into the subjects Indigenous Lifeworlds: Sovereignty, Justice, Society and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and Wellbeing.

• Sam Eccleston is a young community member who's passionate about advocating for climate action, inclusive education and tackling inequality.
