Join the Australian Society of Plant Scientist as they present 'Earth and Beyond Plants in Extreme Environments'
While Australia challenges plants with extreme environments, imagine pushing the boundaries of agriculture into the cosmos!
The lecture will commence with an exciting presentation by NASA's Dr Gioia Massa, part of the Veggie program – a visionary mission to grow plants in the International Space Station and beyond.
She will then join A/Prof Jenny Mortimer, ARC Centre of Excellence in Plants for Space, to spearhead a discussion on engineering plants and growth systems for the uncharted frontiers of space – and how this research fuels the battle for a more sustainable future for Earth's agriculture!
To conclude the evening, there will be a stellar panel session featuring:
