The infrastructure that supports our campuses and learning environments are central to the University because they benefit our students, our staff and the broader Tasmanian community.
We are currently seeking community support for the following projects:
We are currently seeking benefactors for the The Hedberg, a creative industry and performing arts development in the Hobart CBD - a project which will underpin a vision for the state as a leader in the digital, creative and performing arts.
Emerging from a visionary partnership between the University of Tasmania and both State and Commonwealth Governments, The Hedberg will create a multi-functional site with performing arts, new media, events management, digital technologies, research and teaching facility.
The project includes the construction of an arts and community hub with performance, public and retail spaces – a major complex, which will provide a unique environment for cross-discipline creativity and thinking.
The development will be built on the 'Wapping 4' site adjoining Hobart's historic Theatre Royal, Australia’s oldest working theatre. The target completion date for the project is Semester 1, 2020. Visit The Hedberg website.

The Tasmanian University Student Association's clubs have been offering sporting opportunities for student cohorts for many years. Clubs provide sporting and recreation for students, staff, alumni and other friends of the University community.
Donating to the University of Tasmania Sports Fund will help our clubs to invest in equipment, increase membership numbers and participate in state and national competitions. Visit the Sports Fund website.
