The University of Tasmania receives the Ambassador of the USA

Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Rufus Black and colleagues met with His Excellency Arthur B. (A.B.) Culvahouse Jr, United States Ambassador to Australia, in early May 2019.

Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Rufus Black and colleagues met with His Excellency Arthur B. (A.B.) Culvahouse Jr, United States Ambassador to Australia, in early May 2019.

This was the first visit of His Excellency Arthur B. (A.B.) Culvahouse Jr to the University of Tasmania, since the commencement of his posting in March 2019.  He was accompanied by  Mr Michael F. Kleine, Consul General, Consulate of United States of America (Melbourne) and Ms Gabrielle Connellan, Cultural Affairs Specialist, Public Affairs Section, Consulate of United States of America (Melbourne).

His Excellency discussed opportunities for further collaboration between the USA and UTAS before an engaging student Question and Answer session hosted by Dr Matt Killingsworth, Senior Lecturer in International Relations, College of Arts, Law and Education.
