Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Schedule of Courses

Discipline Prerequisites
Administration Major, including Distinction (DN) average in units to at least the value of 50% of the major.
Classics Major, including:
either (i) two of series HCA300-321 and HCA315
or (ii) one of series HCA300-321 and both HCA314 and HCA315
or (iii) three of series HCA300-321; if one of the following has been previously passed: HCL100, HCL200, HCL201, HCA215, HCA315
or (iv) HCL300/301
and satisfaction of the Faculty Grade Point Average
English Double major with grade point average of 6.0 or higher including: HEA260/360, and at least two of HEA211/311, HEA222 or HEA223, HEA250/350, HEA273/373 or; major with Grade point average of 7.0 or better.
History Major, with a grade point average of higher than 6.5.
Humanities At least Distinction results in units to the value of 100% and at least Credit (CR) results in further units to the value of 150%.
French Major, including Distinction in HMF301 or High Distinction (HD) in HMF311, and two Distinctions in units relevant to the area of specialisation.
Geography Major, including satisfaction of the Faculty Grade Point Average.
German Major, including HMG331/332/333 and Distinctions in all 200/300 level core language units.
Italian Major, including four units at 300 level one of which should be HMT301 and satisfaction of the Faculty Grade Point Average.
Japanese Double major, including two Distinctions and two Credits in HMJ305-308 and two Credits and two Passes in HMJ331-334.
Philosophy Major, including satisfaction of the Faculty Grade Point Average.
Political Science Major, including Distinction or above in units to at least the value of 50% of the major.
Psychology Double Major, containing at least 165% in the discipline and satisfaction of the Faculty Grade Point Average.
Sociology Major, including HGA201, HGA301 and HGA203/303 and satisfaction of the Faculty Grade Point Average. Prerequisites are to change for 1997 entry.
Women's Studies Major including HAF215/315 and Distinction average in at least 50% of Women's Studies units.
