One of Humanities students, Greens candidate-turned independent Holly Ewin, will be a new face on Hobart City Council as Alder(wo)man.
Ms Ewin has finished a social and political science degree and is now studying feminist philosophy for a Bachelor of Philosophy degree in School of Humanities, University of Tasmania.
She has owned and run Fiori Florist since 2013. Erin is the co-founder of Not Ovary-Acting, campaigning for accessible abortions in Tassie. She is standing for real action on housing, to democratise Council and amplify residents' voice as she herself lives on a boat, because she couldn't find a rental this year due to the housing crisis.
