More than 2,500 students, surrounded by family and friends, will celebrate their graduations from the University of Tasmania in Hobart this week.
The Hobart ceremonies wrap up the summer graduation round, with more than 5,000 students graduating around the State.
The first day of ceremonies is tomorrow, Tuesday, 17 December, at the Federation Concert Hall, following the Town and Gown procession led by 2019 graduates of the Children’s University Tasmania. Hobart ceremonies will continue Wednesday, 18 December, and Thursday, 19 December.

* For the Town and Gown, students will be gathering outside the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS) at 9.30 am. At 9.45 am, they will assemble into the procession formation, which will depart the site at 10.15 am. The procession will head north along Castray Esplanade, into Morrison Street, right at the Elizabeth Street intersection, onto Franklin Wharf and then turning left towards Constitution Dock. The procession will then proceed over Victoria Dock Bridge, turning left onto Hunter Street, crossing Davey Street, arriving at the Federation Concert Hall at 10.30 am. The graduation ceremony will commence inside at 11 am.
