Library and Student Centre Digital Screens

Digital screen display request

Display Screen - Morris Miller Library.

NEC Live enables the display of digital information content across the Library and Student Services network.

Request for digital information content display is open to University Departments, Colleges or Student Associations.

To be considered for display all artwork files needs to be submitted in an acceptable format.

Please read the file format guidelines below and

  • submit your content in an acceptable file format, or request content creation
  • indicate the required display locations
  • detail the put up and take down display dates

Digital screens are available at the following locations and content can be displayed in one or all of the locations.

  • Morris Miller Library - Entry Level
  • Carington Smith Library
  • Cradle Coast Library and Student Services

Subject to time constraints and staff availability, Library and Student Services staff are able to create dynamic content, including features such as silent movie clips, rotating/sliding text and images and looped ticker text.

Static slide

  • JPEG, PNG, TIFF  copyright free images
  • image size 1920 x 1080 pixels (landscape) (Publisher page setup size 16.26cm x 9.14cm)
  • 300dpi
  • Headlines-Georgia Bold
  • Body-Arial Regular
  • 70-90pt font
  • ideally maximum of 3 lines of 5 words or 5 lines of 3 words
  • for accessibility, maximize the colour contrast, including graphics, fonts, and backgrounds

Request for content creation

  • JPEG, PNG, TIFF copyright free images
  • 300dpi
  • document containing outline of concept and text required

Other Formats

  • Power point slides are able to be displayed but present an inferior image as they are low resolution and do not fill the screen. If you submit a PowerPoint slide please ensure that there is a plain background so we are able to match background colour. Power point slides should be saved as JPEG files before submission.
  • Publisher files should be created with a page setup of 16.26cm x 9.14cm (1920 x 1080 pixels) and 300dpi images used. Publisher files should be saved as JPEG files before submission.
  • PDF files should be converted to JPEG files before submission
