Chemical and physical changes in fish feed (2017)$11,776
A small scoping project to see if detect chemical changes in Fish Feed samples can be detected and determine the feasibility of developing IR models for feed retention. The investigators will attempt to develop methods and analyse and interpret generated data for 17 samples by NMR and Vibrational Spectroscopy for:* 4 formula variations (4 separate production runs) of one high retention product, including pre and post extrusion samples (= 8 samples).* 4 formula variations (4 separate production runs) of one low retention product, including pre and post extrusion samples (8 samples).* 1 pure starch sample

Supply Chain Integrity Testing of Medications for GP2U Telehealth (2015 - 2016)$20,000
the UTAS CSL NMR facility will be contracted by GP2U Telehealth to perform analysis of a limited class of hepatitis C medications in relation to National Standard reference compounds (NMI) as a first pass check of supply chain integrity for patients self-importing the materials.

Chemika impurity characterisation - ICH guidelines (2014)$8,794
This project will identify degradation products that arise during routine quality control assays as part of compliance with ICH guidelines. Degradation products will be identified using a three step process of UPLC with low resolution MS and fractionation and purity testing, followed by high resolution MS (orbitrap), with subsequent NMR.
