Research Themes
Patricia's research aligns with the University's research theme of Data, Knowledge and Decisions. Her research interests include the praxis of online learning for Postgraduate Nursing Studies with clinical practice. Patricia's current research is exploring the concept of Capability in Nursing students undertaking any Postgraduate Certificate in Neonatal Intensive Care (PG Cert NIC) in Australia. Patricia has developed nationally agreed Graduate Attributes for PG Cert NIC. She is currently identifying Capability Requisites, the stage the students are expected to have developed these requisites and how these Capability Requisites are evidenced in clinical practice. It is hoped this will go some way towards the development of a Capability Framework for PG Cert NIC students.
