General Responsibilities

Suzana joined the Centre for Law and Genetics (CLG) within the UTAS Faculty of Law in late March 2016 to undertake her PhD under the supervision of Dr Jane Nielsen and Professor Dianne Nicol. Before joining the CLG, she completed her LLB (Hons), and Masters by Research degree LLM (Hons) in Business Law at University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, Macedonia. She also has a LLM degree from the Faculty of Law at the Universit√© de Nice Sophia-Antipolis, France, in the area of International and European Public and Private Law, completed in 2013. Suzana has also been involved in the legal profession, working as a legal associate and consultant in Macedonia each for several years.


An Analysis of the Thorny Issues within the Process of Drafting Know-How Licence Agreements for University/Biotechnology Purpose (2016).

The investigation primarily concerns the interface between intellectual property and competition law in the specific area of ‘know-how’.

Research focus areas

Know-how, Trade Secrecy, Transfer of Technology, Intellectual Property Law, Competition Law, International and European law.

Public and Private Law; International Trade Law.
