PhD Topic

Cynthia is researching the influence of media and communications on transnational environmental campaigns using the Queensland based Adani Carmichael coal mine proposal as a case study. The project explores the interplay between activists, media, industry, and policy makers and questions whether mediatised environmental conflict impacts international relations and trade.  This research is a part of the Australian Research Council Project DP150103454 ‘Transnational Environmental Campaigns in the Australia-Asian Region’.
