Tammy graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Tasmania in 2007. She has worked in both the north and the north-west coast of Tasmania in various government and non-government agencies for 20 years. Tammy has worked with Tasmania’s most marginalised and vulnerable individuals and families in a variety of settings, mainly home visiting family support programs and parenting education. This experience has given her a strong empathy and skill base in understanding the difficulties people face and the ability to best assist people in improving their lives. Tammy’s incredible local knowledge and contacts in the sector are an asset to her current role organising and supporting social work students on placement out in the field.
Tammy is also a qualified Professional Supervisor, having completed the ESP: Excellence in Supervisory Practice Professional Supervision training with Amovita Consulting using the PASE model of supervision for social workers.
