Prior to joining the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre, Jay was a data analyst at the Australasian Rehabilitation Outcomes Centre where he was involved in generating national rehabilitation benchmark reports and database management. In addition to this he has a number of years experience in health and medical research, specifically in a hospital-based setting examining such issues as secondary prevention of atherosclerosis. In his current position he is assisting Dr. Kathleen Doherty with her research on dementia education via massive online open courses.
