QLess Virtual Queuing System

QLess for UConnect service points at the Morris Miller Library has re-opened.

In addition, the Launceston, Clinical and Cradle Coast Libraries have reopened to students, with some access restrictions and social distancing measures in place. For more details, visit the Library News page and the COVID-19 Support and Updates page.

Coming in to make an in-person UConnect enquiry in Sandy Bay? Join the queue before you get there with QLess.

QLess allows you to use your time more productively. Don't just stand in line – you can work on your assignments, talk with your classmates or grab a coffee.

Join the queue virtually; your place will be kept and you will be sent a text message to let you know when you are near the front of the queue. Don't have a mobile with you or prefer to stay in the immediate area? Screens at the service point will show you the state of the queue.


How do I access QLess?

You can join the queue via SMS (standard messaging rates apply) or download the QLess App (iPhone / Android)

To join in Hobart:

Text UTAS SB to 0417 764 183

You will then be prompted to choose a queue / service:

  • UConnect - Morris Miller Library, Level 2 (9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Fri):
    • Student Services enquiries
    • ID and Access Cards enquiries
    • Library enquiries

Actions:

After joining the queue via your mobile, you can get updates, reminders and assistance.

Text the following characters to 0417 764 183:

N# Request a notification # minutes before anticipated appointment


You will receive a text message when you have reached the front of the queue and it is time to be served. You can also keep an eye on the screens at the service point - your name and the last 4 digits of your mobile phone number will be displayed.

Click on your campus - you will be prompted to complete your details and to select the service you need:

(Note: In person assistance is available during the full Library open hours even if QLess has closed for the day)

If you are already close by or do not have access to a mobile phone, join the queue virtually by using the kiosk located in the foyer of Morris Miller Library Level 2

Please be aware: If you do not have a mobile phone, you will need to remain in the immediate vicinity of the QLess Display Screens to watch for your name to progress up the list.
