The AAG Research Trust stimulates research that improves the experience of ageing through innovation in policy and practice. Funding is currently available under two grant programs:

  • Strategic Innovation Program: The program aims to facilitate dynamic and responsive research that will improve research impact by contributing to research translation. Two grants of up to $30,000 each for projects up to 18 months’ duration will be awarded.
  • RM Gibson Program: The program aims to support early career researchers in the diverse fields related to ageing in Australia and the translation of the evidence base into policy and practice. Four grants of up to $7,000 each, plus an additional grant of $7,000 that has a substantive dementia focus as part of a partnership between the AAG Research Trust and Dementia Australia Research Foundation, are available to be awarded.
