The Tasmania Social Sciences Human Research Ethics Committee (SSHREC) (Terms of Reference) is responsible for conducting ethical reviews of research involving human participation, that does not fall within the scope of the Tasmania Health and Medical Human Research Ethics Committee (HMHREC).

The SSHREC cover a broad range of research areas including:

  • Law
  • Business

If you are conducting a research project with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities or their data, the design of your project must respect and take into account the values, and cultural protocols of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
