About the research project

Snug Health has partnered with the UTAS Active Work Laboratory to support a Higher Degree by Research project to evaluate health behaviour change strategies, delivered through their mobile application, for improving the health outcomes and wellbeing of Tasmanians.

This project, supported by a multi-disciplinary research team, will facilitate scientifically robust conclusions on the efficacy of different AI-supported behaviour change strategies for improving uptake and adherence to mobile health (mHealth) initiatives and their impact on user health outcomes. When evaluating the Snug Health Mobile Application, the focus will be on determining which mHealth behaviour change strategies are most effective in sustaining adherence to the app, and other important variables related to health and wellbeing.

Snug Health will provide a crucial industry-lens on design and effectiveness of the project. Via its pioneering AI-supported mHealth application, Snug Health will also provide the project with access to deidentified end-user data and a platform for implementation of trial strategies. This project has the potential for immediate and direct industry applicability, with all outcomes and conclusions including methodology and intermediate results made available to Snug Health for use in optimising its mHealth application and related products and services. Applicants must be able to demonstrate strong quantitative research and analytical skills. Applicants with prior research / industry experience working with mHealth applications and/or computational health science are encouraged to apply.
