In December 2016, a Self-Assessment Team (SAT) was convened to work on the University's application to obtain an Athena SWAN Bronze award, a national accreditation recognising the efforts of higher education institutions to improve gender equity. The SAT comprises 25 professional and academic staff from across the University; it is well gender-balanced, it has a good representation from all campuses, and includes a variety of career stages and work-life experiences.
Come along to meet several members of the Self-Assessment Team (presenters TBA), who will provide an update on the recent progress made at the University around gender equity issues.
Professor Brigid Heywood, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and Athena SWAN project sponsor at UTAS, will welcome attendants and will facilitate a 15-minute Q&A session after the various speakers’ presentations.
A morning tea will be held between 9.00am-9.30am before the presentation begins.
Please RSVP by Thursday 7th September.
