Supporting and Managing Candidates’ Mental Health

Mental health issues can cause candidates to withdraw from university life leading to long completion times or failure to complete. This site offers you resources to help you recognise possible mental health problems early and to know what to do.

The University of Tasmania supports best practice in dealing with these issues through early intervention and there are many resources you can draw on. Follow the links below to find advice on how to discuss issues with candidates and where to find resources.

This resource was developed via a partnership between the Office of the Dean of Graduate Research and the UTAS Work, Health and Wellbeing Network.
