Year 2 Rural Week provides Medical students with the opportunity to learn about rural health while living within a rural community and studying the organic, psychological and social dimensions of health and disease.
Students are allocated to a Tasmanian community and will spend a week learning about the health challenges facing that community.
Students will use a modified community health needs assessment method to understand both the health needs of the community and the services currently available.
