Professor Marcus Haward
Theme Leader for Ocean and Antarctic Governance, IMAS

Professor Haward, a political scientist, is Theme Leader for Ocean and Antarctic Governance at the University of Tasmania, Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS), Hobart. Among his publications are the following books: Global Commodity Governance (with F. Gale), 2011; Australia and the Antarctic Treaty System (edited with T. Griffiths), 2011; Ocean Governance in the Twenty-First Century (with J.Vince), 2008. Marcus Haward is also editor of The Australian Journal of Maritime and Ocean Affairs

Dr. Julia Jabour
Senior Lecturer in Law and Policy
IMAS Marine & Antarctic Futures Centre (MAFC)

Dr Julia Jabour is a member of the Ocean & Antarctic Governance Research Program at IMAS Marine & Antarctic Futures Centre (MAFC) and has been researching, writing and lecturing on polar governance for 20 years. She teaches a variety of Antarctic law and policy undergraduate and postgraduate units and has had teaching assignments in Iceland, Malaysia, Vietnam and New Zealand. Her many publications have been both individual and collaborative.
