The latest The Tasmania Project report focuses on attitudes about measures to manage COVID-19, COVID-safe behaviour, and perspectives on what should be done to manage the COVID-19 situation.
The Tasmania Project Reopening Survey was open between 11 February and 2 March 2022. A total of 2043 Tasmanian residents completed the survey. Analysis of the demographically-weighted data reveals general support for COVID-19 management measures (including several that were not in place) and high personal compliance with COVID-safe behaviours.
Most respondents did not believe that the pandemic would end this year. In terms of actions from the government, respondents wanted clarity and consistency of communication, support for businesses individuals affected by COVID-19, investment in the social and economic foundations of Tasmania, and proactive planning for future crises.
