Tas Uni Boat Club take out top spot

Gun rower Sam Mounter takes out Gold for Under 17 Single Skull at Sydney International Rowing Regatta

Amidst the best in the country, the Tas Uni Boat Club along with other Tasmanian Rowing Clubs such as Huon and North Esk are flying with multiple finals appearances at the Sydney International Rowing Regatta so far with the championships to end on Sunday.

Leading the charge for the Tas Uni Boat Club is Under 17 Single Skull rower Sam Mounter (see pictured) with a stellar performance of 7mins 33.15secs. Following closely behind was TUBC rower Gus Paynter who claimed victory in the B Final.

Not to be outmatched, University of Tasmania Student Athletes Jack Barret and Joseph Wilson were both strong in the Under 21 Men’s Single Skull with Jack taking out the Gold and Joseph in fourth. Both representing North Esk Rowing Club with pride.
