UTAS Cricket girls to represent at U18 National Championships

Three members of the University of Tasmania Cricket Club head to Victoria to represent Tasmania

The Tasmanian squad to compete at the Cricket Australia Under 18 National Championship was released shortly prior to Christmas including the announcement that three girls have been selected from the University of Tasmania Cricket Club. Sophie Parkin, Chloe Abel and Claire Scott will all be travelling to Bendigo and Ballarat in Victoria for the Championship beginning as of Monday 14th January continuing until Thursday 24th January.

Sophie Parkin also has the honour of captaining the Tasmanian Tigers for the U18 championship after a stellar season so far as an opening bowler. Up and coming stars to watch out for, Claire and Chloe’s all-rounder skills are going to be on show for the tournament and will surely make the captains job easier.
