The Tasmanian University Rugby Union Football Club was established in 1933 and recently celebrated its eightieth anniversary. It has a proud and storied history, winning numerous premierships and having many great players pull on the Red Men jersey. In 2013, the University Mighty Twos defeated Taroona in the grand final to win the reserve grade premiership.

The club is based out of the rugby ground at the UTAS Sandy Bay Campus, along Sandy Bay Road. Training is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm, with the clubrooms and bar being open throughout the evening. New players are always welcome so come down and join the club! TURC Facebook
