The Resident Portal is your one stop shop for Student Living payments, event registrations, bookings, maintenance requests and other useful information.
Your Residency Agreement will always include a date of departure. Whilst we cannot guarantee ongoing accommodation after this date, we will attempt to meet requests where possible.
Some reasons you might choose to extend your stay at Student Living:
- Supplementary exams or results
- Summer school courses
- Remaining on campus (not returning home) before the beginning of next academic year or semester
Room numbers are limited over the summer period so please submit an extension as soon as possible to ensure we can accommodate your request. Please note that you may not be able to remain in the same room or residence due to prearranged conference, group and summer bookings.
Rental fees and charges must be paid for any extension of your stay.
To apply for an extension of your stay, please login and complete the 'Accommodation Extension Request' online form.
Checkout time is 10am (or as stipulated in your Residency Agreement). Unless you have notified the office otherwise, you will be required to vacate your room (and remove all of your belongings) by this time on your checkout date. All keys and your parking permit must be returned to the office via the key drop box or handed in personally to administration staff. Charges will apply for keys and permits that are not returned.
We will complete an outgoing inspection after you have departed. Please contact the office if you would like to be present during the final inspection.
If you are not returning to Student Living, you will need to complete a security deposit refund request on the Resident Portal. It may take up to 30 days for your request to be processed.
Storage of belongings
Limited storage is available over the summer break for returning residents. Storage is not guaranteed, and when available is only for residents who have accepted an offer of accommodation for the next year. Contact your Student Living team for more information.
