On-Campus Study Help

The University offers a range of on campus support for academic and language skills development. These services are provided by the Student Learning team.  Student Learning Mentors of the team offer a Drop In service, while Student Learning Advisers and Librarians offer consultations by appointment and workshops. Our learning support is free of charge, and open to all University College and Degree students. It is provided in addition to the subject-specific support you receive from your lecturers and tutors.

Drop In (Peer support)

Student Learning Drop In offers help to answer basic questions around your studies such as

  • using MyLO
  • getting feedback to improve your assignment writing
  • English speaking practice
  • referencing
  • other study related questions

Drop In is available on the Sandy Bay, Newnham, Cradle Coast and Rozelle campuses.

Student Learning Mentors are specially trained students who have been successful in their own studies. They work with you one-on-one to provide general feedback and support to develop your skills. They can also direct you to other resources and learning support. The service is open to students during semesters 1 and 2.

No appointment is necessary, and you can visit as often as you like.

Where to access Drop In

Student Learning Drop In is funded by the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF).
