Cradle Coast Welcome and Orientation Program

Semester 1, Welcome and Orientation Week runs from 14 Feb - 18 Feb.

We will host a variety of events, activities and information sessions to get you well on your way to a successful future.

It is a requirement for newly commencing students to attend your Welcome and Orientation sessions. Attending your course welcome is a vital part of your introduction to to your College and your studies. We also recommend you explore the workshop, info sessions and events available across this program.

Not sure which welcome session to attend? Need help understanding your timetable or navigating MyLO? Visit the Learning Lounge and chat with an online peer mentor and current successful student in real time. During Orientation, drop in between 2pm and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

*Program is subject to changes please check regularly. All sessions are delivered in Australian Eastern Daylight Time.

*Due to COVID restrictions, on-campus Orientations require registration and numbers will be limited, so please register early to secure your place.

It is a requirement for new and continuing BSW with Honours and MSW(Q) students to attend on-campus induction sessions in Orientation Week. You will receive essential information about your social work studies and there will be time for you to ask questions. Meet teaching staff and your peers ahead of the start of semester. There will also be an additional, compulsory Zoom (online) information and Q&A session about field education (placements) in week 1 of Semester 1. More information will be provided about all of these sessions closer to the date.
