Overview
The International Women in Seafaring Scholarships are offered by the National Centre for Ports and Shipping - Seafaring Section, part of the Australian Maritime College which is Australia's premier seafaring training institute.
Eligibility
Scholarships will be awarded to international female students commencing their first year of studies with the AMC, in one of the following programs:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Marine Engineering) - 23R
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Nautical Science) - 23Q

Ongoing eligibility
To retain this award student's must remain enrolled full-time (100%) in the approved course of study and achieve a minimum Pass (4.0/7.0) result in each unit for the duration they are in receipt of the scholarship.
Value
Recipients will receive one payment of $6,000 in the first semester of study, to be used towards educational costs.
Recipients will receive one payment of $4,000 in the second semester of study, to be used towards educational costs.
Payments will be paid directly into the student's Australian bank account shortly after census date each semester.
Duration
First year of study.
Apply
Students are assessed automatically for the the International Women in Seafaring Scholarship upon submission of their International Student Application, there is no need to submit a separate scholarship application.
