Using health care data to guide and inform decisions has been more important than ever during the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet, it has also highlighted to many individuals and health professionals that there is a prevalent need to increase data literacy skills to be able to interpret data and statistics.

Dr Kerryn Butler-Henderson

Dr Kerryn Butler-Henderson is the Associate Professor of Digital Health, where she oversees digital health curriculum integration across all health programs and provides leadership in the postgraduate eHealth program. She is internationally recognised for her research expertise in digital health workforce and capabilities, leading several funded research projects. Professionally, Kerryn holds several national and international positions, including President Elect of the International Federation of Health Information Management Associations and Director of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health.

Mary Lam

Dr Scanlan teaches in the School of Nursing with a focus on eHealth Privacy. He is also an Associate Professor in Maritime Cybersecurity at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences and is a Senior Research Fellow in Digital Crime at Latrobe University. He has a 15 year history of teaching IT and cybersecurity at UTAS and around the world. Joel is an active researcher cyber security, serious games for mental health, child exploitation prevention and machine learning.
